Prior to 2008, Yorbeau did only statutory claim maintenance work on the Wright-Rouyn, Durbar and Lake Bouzan Blocks while it focused on the areas of the Rouyn Property with the strongest near-term potential.

During 2008, two targets were identified due to the coincidence of magnetic lows and chageability - resistivity highs. At the West Bouzan target, four shallow holes totalling 1,488 m were drilled and all penetrated the Piché Group; all four encountered schistose alteration and none returned significant gold grades.

At the Lac Bouzan target, an additional four holes were drilled totalling 1,353 m. All encountered schistose Piché Group rocks, but none returned significant gold. These holes were drilled to intercept the Piché Group rocks at fairly shallow vertical depths to test these geophysical anomalies. Both of these targets should be drilled at deeper levels with the objective of locating silicified and carbonate - bearing Piché rocks.

The second longest hole (734 m) of the 2008 program was drilled at the Smokey Creek target to test a chargeability anomaly and to cut both the Smokey Creek fault and the CLLB. This hole encountered extensive zones of alteration, including quartz veining and silicification in the Piché Group and also in the upper Blake River volcanic rocks but yielded low grades of gold. Another three holes were drilled as a preliminary test of this area. A total of 1,741 m was drilled in the Smokey Creek area but significant gold grades have not been found.

No work has been conducted in these areas since 2008.
